Baby, It's Cold Outside...
Let me start by stating the obvious...IT"S COLD!!!! Maybe you don't understand. It hovered around 0 degrees all day today. That is really, really, cold. It's so cold, I got reports of people going outside, and their eyelashes freezing together.
I've spent the majority of the weekend alone in my room. It was great at first, but it quickly got boring. Being left alone to my thoughts, can be dangerous. I tend to start thinking about all kinds of things, and usually end up making myself sad. So, I fought myself and my thoughts. I composed, arranged, watched countless hours of mindless TV, conducted practically every piece I know.
However, this weekend was not without inspiration. I witnessed another snow in Boone. It was beautiful. Snowflakes falling from the heavens covered the Earth with a blanket of white. Everywhere I looked were breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. I wish my friends across the state could be able to wake up to what I did this morning.
Later this afternoon we had the lottery for living in the LLC. I drew number 24. Not that great a number, since there are only 25 spots. But, I've put my faith in God, and he's going to help me get in here somehow.
I go to bed tonight, in a fairly neutral state. Not real happy, but not quite sad. Just....neutral. However, tomorrow is another day, another chance to laugh, grow, love, and live.
As always, may God keep you this and every night.
