Husband Material

Today's enlightenment comes courtesy of a lady from my church. Apparently, I'm husband material. I must explain.....

I was playing the postlude at church today, when this lady comes up to the piano and just stands there and looks. Of course, I wrapped up the song and asked if I could help her with something. I figured she was going to ask for a specific song, but she had something else to say.

"You're going to be a wonderful husband someday to some lucky lady." This kind of caught me off guard. I had to find out how she drew this conclusion. She said that I was a real sweet guy, and the fact I could play the piano was a major plus. "You can serenade your sweetheart with your beautiful playing" she said. She went on to say how intelligent I was, ect... but she never said good looking.

After that, I began looking back on what she said. As is my nature, I began finding holes in her argument. Of course, as his His nature, He began filling then in.

How can I be that great of husband material....

I'm not that strong. "The Lord God is my strength.." Hab. 3:19 Ok...you're right....Oh but...

I'm not going to be that rich. "nor trust in uncertain riches, but in this living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy" I Tim. 6:18 You're right again..

Ok. So I have determined that I can't make the decision on my own. So what do you think? Am I really great husband material???
