Memory Lapses

You know, sometimes I wonder how well my memory works. I keep meaning to write, I think of good things to write, and then when it comes time to write...I forget.

It just seems to be the way our lives are running these days. So often do we run around all day then collapse in the bed, not taking time to truly enjoy things or reflect on our current state of affairs.

I for one am tired of being tired. I'm tired of being stressed and worried and refuse to be so anymore. No more will I be run by the outside world, but rather I will take control of myself. I will look out for my best intrests, and my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being.

I recently watched the movie Braveheart for the first time, and it was a wonderful movie. It made me realize how important true freedom is. It also made me realize the price that has to be payed to achieve it. William Wallace found a truth to believe in, an ideal. He believed in it so wholeheartedly that he laid down his life for it. Let us find that ideal for ourselves. Let us find that truth that is so worth fighting for, that we would give our life to ensure its continuation.

Today was Thanksgiving, a day to pause and reflect on what we're thankful for. I'm thankful for freedom, for salvation, for my loved ones, my friends and family, my health, and my overall well-being.

Has it all been great? Certainly not. Would I trade it? Never.

"Every man dies. Not every man lives" ~ William Wallace
