On The Road Again
Tonight I report from the campus of North Carolina Central University. I am currently on-assignment as a facilitator for the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Discovery Trip 2006. This trip is a bus ride across the state of North Carolina. As a facilitator I am responsible for caring for a busload of rising college sophomores! This means early mornings and late nights, unfortunately. However, the result is an amazing experience that bonds the group and enriches our learning experience.
Throughout the rest of this week I'll be reporting from different locations all across North Carolina and letting you know how things are going. So let's get started....
Day 1: Orientation at NCCU
Today went just wonderful! Being mother's day I was sure to call my mother and wished her a happy day. The orientation sessions went very well and I believe we have a wonderful group of student leaders and participants. I believe that with the positive attitudes and excitement we shared today, this trip will come off wonderfully. I guess the true test will come in the morning when we finally put the buses into the equation. Here's hoping for a good time!
