To My Future Wife
To my future wife,
I think the best way to start is with the words I promise I'll tell you at least once a day. I love you. I love you more than I can possibly ever show, and more than you'll ever be able to know. I love you like I love life itself. You are my precious gem. You are my priceless treasure, and I will tell you so each and every day.
My devotion to you will be unfaltering. No woman shall have me before you, and no other woman shall have me besides you. I am yours and you are mine. I will try with all that is in me to ensure your happiness. I will be a solid foundation for you to rest upon in a chaotic world.
I will support you in all your endeavors. You will know that at all times, there is someone beside you and holding you up. Never will I criticize your hopes or dreams. Rather, as I reach for mine so shall I encourage you to reach for yours. What good am I reaching for the stars if you aren't there beside me.
As people, we shall be equals. Together we will walk the paths of this Earth, and together we will stand against all that might oppose us. With God as our guide, there will be no obstacle we cannot overcome.
I cannot wait to hear a minister say, "I now present Dr. and Mrs. (or Dr. and Dr...whichever you want) Jeffrey Lazenby. I look forward to our breakfasts in bed together. To the times where we're curled up in front of a fire, watching it snow outside. I cannot wait for that time in which we sit in complete silence. For I need not to be entertained, but am perfectly happy just to be in your company. I await the time which a doctor proclaims us parents. I look forward to growing old with you, and even if all my senses fail me, I can still see your beauty. I await the time in which we are together in Paradise. Never to be separated from each other again.
In searching for a way to end this letter, I can only come back full circle to where I began. I love you. I have always loved you, and will always love you. Should you go to the ends of the earth, there will I be also, waiting for you. I love you this much, and I may or may not have even met you yet....
Love your future husband,
Dr. Jeffrey Michael Lazenby
